Abstract

|
Recombinant human granulocyte-macrophage colony stimulating factor (GM-CSF) was purified from yeast culture medium. Reverse phase chromatography was included in the subsequent purification steps. and the final purified GM-CSF was found to exist in two forms, i, e., glycosylated and nonglycosylated forms. The two forms were separated in a Con A chromatography. Their molecular weights are 14.5KD and 15.5KI) respectively, of which amino acid compositions were analyzed and compared to the theoretical one from DNA sequence. It was found that the two GM-CSF have the same amino acids.
